German Shepherd Dog - Mocha- Courtesy Post - Medium - Young
Mocha was rescued a few months ago from a neglect situation and unfortunately I can?t keep her. She is wonderfully affectionate ? there?s nothing she likes better than to sit on someone?s lap on the couch or lay on the end of your bed. She can?t co-exist with cats (of which I have one) but she gets along fabulously with other dogs (I have 2 others). She has been great with our 5 year old ? loves to lick her face and sat with her all day when she was sick. However, she is young and does play rough ? she needs an environment where she will be provided A LOT of exercise. She?s a working dog and requires a TON of exercise and activity to manage her sometimes naughty behavior (remember she?s still a puppy). She also needs a family that is going to spend a lot of time training her ? she walks beautifully on a leash and has the sit/stay command nailed, but there are some basic things that she needs to keep working on (like ?come? on command).
She hasn?t been able to go to puppy school yet because she was not spayed when we got her and she went into full heat. She goes to the vet this coming Monday (1/14) to finally be spayed. She is crate trained, currently weighs around 75 lbs (vet says she won?t get any bigger) has all her shots and she is a beautiful, healthy, happy (sometimes crazy) dog that just needs a family that can give her exercise, attention and a cat-free environment.
